Answer to Prayer

Mark has been working Thursday through Monday's at Wal-Mart, which has really cut into his time to be at church, so this past week a co-worker traded with him so that she could spend time with her dad who is ill, please pray for that. Anyway, starting this weekend Mark will have Saturday and Sunday's off. This is definitely an answer to prayer.

As for the kids, I feel like the neighborhood mom, that has the neighborhood kids congregating to on a regular basis. I reflected this morning of how the kids come here, where Christ is shown. Pray for us as we minister to the neighboring kids and their families.

Thank you for all your prayers, we feel them constantly.

Take Care and God Bless,

Offline

We will be spending time with each other as a family for the next month or two. We will be without a computer for a couple of months.

We are now in the new apartment and are loving every bit of it.

I saw a sparrow this morning and it still reminds me that if the LORD can take care of the sparrows, He can surely take care of me and my family.

God Bless,

Debbie

moving to our own place

Today, we were able to get the keys to our new apartment. Yeah!

We have been spending three months in a motel, needless to say we were crowding each other.

Pictures will be up when I can get a disposable camera then put the pictures on CD.

Hope you all have a great day and evening! :)

God Bless,

Update on the kids

Tuesday, Josh will be in his first graduation. Yup!  :) That's right, I said graduation.

Josh will be graduating from Kindergarten on Tuesday. Pictures will be as soon as I get them uploaded.

We are so excited for him! :)

Rachel is just excited that school will be over with and that summer is on it's way. She is my girlie girl. Pictures of her will be up soon as well.

Thank you all for keeping us in your prayers.

Love from Arizona,

Debbie

Humble Pie

I have had an interesting few days. The Lord is working in my heart like you wouldn't believe.
I have now sat and continue to sit where my step-daughters are in relation to finances. I scoffed inside because I felt that if you had the resources you could survive. Not so, when you look at your life from a different perspective, God's.

I thank the Heavenly Father almost daily for my parents who showed what it meant to tithe ten percent of your income. We had money sure but my father crimped and saved so that he could make my growing up years better than his own.

I now understand why my husband said that I was spoiled rotten to a point because I took money issues for granted, I just knew the money was going to be there no matter what, but these past two months has been humbling for me. I feel like I have been eating humble pie and crow.

I want to share a part of a devotion that really spoke to me these last few days from Jon Courson's  devotional 'A Day's Journey'. I am going to summarize parts of it so bare with me.

Before he began his ministry Ezekiel was grabbed by the hand of the Lord. He was directed by God to sit with the captives before he gave his message of judgement.(Ezekiel 3) Jesus also came down from heaven as a tiny baby to live among us and to grow into the man that would do what His Father asked of Him. (Luke 2-24) As Jesus grew He was tempted just like we are on a daily basis.

Isn't it awesome to know that we have Jesus to lean on when we are tempted, struggling or just awed by His presence because He went through all of it to minister to a person just like me.

I pray as you and I go through our daily lives that we remember when we are ministiring to the lost ask this question: Are you willing to go to the trenches and a witness to people around you? Or are you going to sit on the sidelines?

Dear Lord,
As I go through this daily walk with You help me not be on the sidelines but to be in the trenches.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

God Bless,
Debbie

Disclaimer: I don't own Jon Courson's Daily Devotional Book, I only used it as an example.

Made it to Arizona

Hey all,
   We made it Arizona.
As some of you may know we moved to Winslow, AZ in February. Mark was able to get a job here in town. He started for Wal-Mart, and is working the grave yard shift.
I will post more later. Just wanted to let you know that we made it.

    God Bless,
     Debbie
